After reading about the recent increase in crime, I decided that I just had to get a home security system installed. Unfortunately, I didn't take into account how hard some of the systems could be to install.
At first, I bought a really expensive and high-class security system at home, forgetting that I’m an idiot with technology. The new system really made me feel like an idiot. I had to read the manual several times and I still couldn’t get things right. Luckily, my neighbor finally came by and told me about a more user-friendly do it yourself home security option. Either that, or I can have somebody else install my posh security system.
I opted to go with the DIY option. The DIY version of my security system ended up costing me much less and was much easier to install. So my cameras are now languishing in the basement while I got myself another home security system.
I decided to go with the Keepsafer DIY system. It bars intruders by providing security in the doors, windows and the interiors with just one button to alarm and dis-alarm the system.
It is perfect for houses rather than the close-knit apartments. It also provides protection against fire and emergency cases. It is ideal for a space of about 5,000 square feet. Sixteen areas are held secure with the SSD-16 security system by Keepsafer. The areas will give off a signal if there is breach of security or sensor. The motherboard, should I say, will identify the kind of intrusion on the sensor and what activity should be undertaken. It also has an option for an automatic call to a central station, which I recommend people should avail of. It entails additional cost but it is extremely helpful when there is no one home. This is not just on the burglary area but also in cases of fire.
You'll find that you don't have to be overly tech savvy to be able to install a do it yourself house security system. All you have to do is place the sensors in 16 areas that you consider critical and then have the motherboard in either the alarm mode or have it disarmed, with just one click of a button. Just keep the controls near your bed and you'll always have access to them while you sleep.
