This article falls under the CCNA syllabus's objective "Explain and select the appropriate administrative tasks required for a WLAN". Wireless networks let you connect to the Internet, share files, and play games easily. However, their disadvantage is that your wireless activity can be captured by anyone connecting to your wireless network. Therefore, your critical information, such as email passwords and credit card information can be stolen easily. To circumvent this issue, the Linksys router allows you to encrypt your network communications on your wireless network. To do this, you have four security mode:
